Born in Mexico City, Rocío has worked with several organizations including the Latin American Center of Globalization in Mexico City and the Helen Kellogg Institute for International Studies in the U.S. In 2000 she started working for the International Budget Project at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities in Washington, DC where she develops dissemination strategies for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) doing applied budget work around the world. Rocío also works as a consultant designing and implementing peace education activities. Most notably she planned a series of conflict prevention workshops for a group of Cypriot teenagers invited by the International Child Art Foundation (ICAF). Rocío obtained her MA in International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame and her BA in International Affairs with a Postgraduate Diploma in Mexico-US Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has also studied at the University of California, Berkeley, La Sorbonne, and the European University in Austria. Rocío is author of more than a dozen articles and is fluent in several languages. Her present research interests include the theory and social mechanics of invisibility. (See Watercolour by Rocío Campos). Rocío joined the group of TFF Peace Antennas in 1999.
